Dr. Bronners Soaps   previous | next          PDF Print E-mail

Dilute liquid soap: 1 part soap to 10 parts water. Buy in Bulk. Save money! Use on hands and body.

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps are synonymous with Old-World quality and time-honored simplicity, which can be traced back to the family's German-Jewish soapmaking tradition. Born in 1908 to a Jewish family that had been making soap since 1858, Emanuel Bronner was the third generation certified as a master-soapmaker under the guild system of the time. In 1929, he brought his formulas for high-quality liquid and bar soaps to America, starting Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps in its current form in 1948.

This is wonderful soap but I would not use it on your face. It can be drying on the face. Use it for everything else! The liquid soap is also 1-4, dioxane free according to Organic Consumers Association.

I used the Baby Mild Organic Soap Bar on my newborn and it really dried up his skin. After a few spongebaths with it I had to switch. I'm all for bar soaps as they don't need to use any plastic container that may or may not end up getting recycled. (I switched to Burt's Bees since we received Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash as a gift. The bottle it's in is made of recycled plastic and baby loves to play with it in the bath. It also leaves my baby's skin soft.)
